community.dns.reverse_pointer filter – Convert an IP address into a DNS name for reverse lookup

This filter plugin is part of the community.dns collection (version 3.3.4).
You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible package.
It is not included in ansible-core.
To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list.
To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install community.dns.
To use it in a playbook, specify: community.dns.reverse_pointer.

Synopsis
- Given an IPv4 or IPv6 address, such as - 192.168.1.2, converts it to a DNS name to use for reverse lookups, such as- 2.1.168.192.in-addr.arpa.
