f5networks.f5_modules.bigip_smtp module – Manages SMTP settings on the BIG-IP

Synopsis
Allows configuring of the BIG-IP to send mail via an SMTP server by configuring the parameters of an SMTP server.
Parameters

Credentials can be set on an SMTP server’s configuration even if that authentication is not used (for example, staging configs or emergency changes). This parameter acts as a switch to make the specified When When Choices:

Specifies whether the SMTP server requires an encrypted connection in order to send mail. Choices:

Email address from which the email is being sent. This is the “Reply-to” address the recipient sees. |

Hostname used in SMTP headers in the format of a fully qualified domain name. This setting does not refer to the hostname of the BIG-IP system. |
|
Specifies the name of the SMTP server configuration. |
|
Device partition to manage resources on. Default: “Common” |
|
A dict object containing connection details. |
|
Configures the auth provider for to obtain authentication tokens from the remote device. This option is really used when working with BIG-IQ devices. |

Requires BIG-IP software version >= 12.
The F5 modules only manipulate the running configuration of the F5 product. To ensure that BIG-IP specific configuration persists to disk, be sure to include at least one task that uses the f5networks.f5_modules.bigip_config module to save the running configuration. Refer to the module’s documentation for the correct usage of the module to save your running configuration.
