fortinet.fortios.fortios_wireless_controller_inter_controller module – Configure inter wireless controller operation in Fortinet’s FortiOS and FortiGate.

Note

This module is part of the fortinet.fortios collection (version 2.3.0).

You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible package. It is not included in ansible-core. To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list.

To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install fortinet.fortios. You need further requirements to be able to use this module, see Requirements for details.

To use it in a playbook, specify: fortinet.fortios.fortios_wireless_controller_inter_controller.

Synopsis

  • This module is able to configure a FortiGate or FortiOS (FOS) device by allowing the user to set and modify wireless_controller feature and inter_controller category. Examples include all parameters and values need to be adjusted to datasources before usage. Tested with FOS v6.0.0

The below requirements are needed on the host that executes this module.

string

Token-based authentication. Generated from GUI of Fortigate.

enable_log

boolean

Enable/Disable logging for task.

Choices:

  • false ← (default)

  • true

member_path

string

Member attribute path to operate on.

Delimited by a slash character if there are more than one attribute.

Parameter marked with member_path is legitimate for doing member operation.

member_state

string

Add or delete a member under specified attribute path.

When member_state is specified, the state option is ignored.

Choices:

  • "present"

  • "absent"

vdom

string

Virtual domain, among those defined previously. A vdom is a virtual instance of the FortiGate that can be configured and used as a different unit.

Default: "root"

wireless_controller_inter_controller

dictionary

Configure inter wireless controller operation.

fast_failover_max

integer

Maximum number of retransmissions for fast failover HA messages between peer wireless controllers (3 - 64).

fast_failover_wait

integer

Minimum wait time before an AP transitions from secondary controller to primary controller (10 - 86400 sec).

inter_controller_key

string

Secret key for inter-controller communications.

inter_controller_mode

string

Configure inter-controller mode (disable, l2-roaming, 1+1).

Choices:

  • "disable"

  • "l2-roaming"

  • "1+1"

Fast failover peer wireless controller list.

id

integer / required

ID.

peer_ip

string

Peer wireless controller”s IP address.

peer_port

integer

Port used by the wireless controller”s for inter-controller communications (1024 - 49150).

peer_priority

string

Peer wireless controller”s priority (primary or secondary).

Choices:

  • "primary"

  • "secondary"

inter_controller_pri

string

Configure inter-controller”s priority (primary or secondary).

Choices:

  • "primary"

  • "secondary"

l3_roaming

string

Enable/disable layer 3 roaming .

Choices:

  • "enable"

  • "disable"
