community.general.rax_cdb_user module – Create / delete a Rackspace Cloud Database

Note

This module is part of the community.general collection (version 8.5.0).

You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible package. It is not included in ansible-core. To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list.

To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install community.general. You need further requirements to be able to use this module, see Requirements for details.

To use it in a playbook, specify: community.general.rax_cdb_user.

This module relies on the deprecated package pyrax.

Alternative:

Use the Openstack modules instead.

Synopsis

  • create / delete a database in the Cloud Databases.

Requirements

The below requirements are needed on the host that executes this module.

auth_endpoint

The URI of the authentication service.

If not specified will be set to https://identity.api.rackspacecloud.com/v2.0/.

cdb_id

The databases server UUID

credentials

File to find the Rackspace credentials in. Ignored if api_key and username are provided.

databases

list / elements=string

Name of the databases that the user can access

Default: []

db_password

Database user password

db_username

Name of the database user

Specifies the host from which a user is allowed to connect to the database. Possible values are a string containing an IPv4 address or “%” to allow connecting from any host

Authentication mechanism to use, such as rackspace or keystone.

Region to create an instance in.

Indicate desired state of the resource

Choices:

  • "present" ← (default)

  • "absent"

tenant_id

string

The tenant ID used for authentication.

tenant_name

The tenant name used for authentication.

username

string

Rackspace username, overrides credentials.

validate_certs

Whether or not to require SSL validation of API endpoints.
