community.general.pkg5 module – Manages packages with the Solaris 11 Image Packaging System

Note

This module is part of the community.general collection (version 9.4.0).

You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible package. It is not included in ansible-core. To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list.

To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install community.general.

To use it in a playbook, specify: community.general.pkg5.

Synopsis

  • IPS packages are the native packages in Solaris 11 and higher.

Accept any licences.

Choices:

  • false ← (default)

  • true

be_name

string

Creates a new boot environment with the given name.

name

list / elements=string / required

An FRMI of the package(s) to be installed/removed/updated.

Multiple packages may be specified, separated by ,.

refresh

boolean

Refresh publishers before execution.

Choices:

  • false

  • true ← (default)

state

string

Whether to install (present, latest), or remove (absent) a package.

Choices:

  • "absent"

  • "latest"

  • "present" ← (default)

  • "installed"

  • "removed"

  • "uninstalled"

verbose

boolean

added in community.general 9.0.0

Set to true to disable quiet execution.

Choices:

  • false ← (default)

  • true

check_mode

Support: full

Can run in check_mode and return changed status prediction without modifying target.

diff_mode

Support: none

Will return details on what has changed (or possibly needs changing in check_mode), when in diff mode.
